There are so many things you can do to a photograph after you take it. Many people get carried away with filters and effects. This is one of those photos that just called for this special effect.

I have added texture layers on top of the ground layer, but careful not to put any texture on the baby or basket.


There is also a piece of software called Lucis Art. It creates a gritty, sharp, yet at the same time I’ve heard it described as almost “painterly” in nature. This is an image that just called for this effect.
